Love Island fans call for spin-off series following boys Unseen Bits

Love Island fans call for spin-off series following the hilarious "Villa Wives" segment on Saturday's Unseen Bits episode.

On Saturday's episode, contestants Tom Clare, Will Young, Shaq Muhammad and Casey O'Gorman were seen acting as parodies from reality TV shows, such as Desperate Housewives, as they acquired American accents and performed an impromptu skit.

Becoming their female alter egos, Thomasina, Shania, Wilhelmina and Cassandra as they acted out a dramatic fight together, making fans cry from laughter.

Saying iconic phrases such as "you're done" and "I think you're trying to throw me under the bus" including dramatic arm gestures and dramatic gasps, many viewers saw it as a highlight of the show.

It all started when Shaq was told by Will that "Francis" was cheating on him with Casey, sparking Shaq to make his dramatic exit from the bathroom as he claims: "I can't do it anymore."

When Casey later was dumped from the Villa alongside Rosie, the other guys returned to their alter egos in the beach hut to talk about how they felt about it.

Tom said: "I was sad to see Cassandra go. The girl was drama, drama, drama, but I love her to bits.

"I don't think it'll ever be the same in Villa Wives without Cassandra here."

Meanwhile, Shaq said (s)he'd "always be the Queen B" no matter if Cassandra was there or not.

Due to the dramatic dumping, Iain Stirling announced to devastated Love Island viewers: "Villa Wives will not return for a second season."

Fans took to Twitter to express their thoughts on the hilarious segment, with most saying it was the highlight of the episode.

One person said: "Shaq actually makes quite a convincing white American woman #loveisland".

A second viewer said: "The villa wives needs a spin-off #LoveIsland," along with three cry laughing emojis.

"The Villa wives Segment killed me #loveisland," a third said along with several cry laughing emojis and a red love heart.

Another agreed and said: "villa wives has me dead #loveisland #unseenbits".

A fifth viewer said: "Villa wives has made my day I wanna see more #loveisland," while another said: "The villa wives is the best part of unseen bits tonight #loveisland".

Casey, who unfortunately got dumped from the villa earlier this week, also commented on the Villa Wives segment as he tweeted: "Glad everyone is enjoying villa wives #loveisland," along with three cry laughing emojis.

However not everyone found it funny, as one person said: "These "boys" on #unseenbits are really not amusing. Hard to believe they're grown men #loveisland".

Another viewer said: "Why does villa wives have more drama than love island these days #loveisland".

It comes just days before the highly anticipated finale of the show on Monday as only two episodes remains before a new couple are crowned the winners of the show.

On Friday, the Islanders were seen going on their final dates, where they also had to choose one couple that they'd name the least compatible as the couples found with the most votes would be at risk of being dumped.

In a dramatic evening scene, Will Young and Jessie Wynter, Ron Hall and Lana Jenkins, and Kai Fagan and Sanam Harrinanan were informed that they'd landed in the bottom three of the cast's vote for compatibility, meaning their dreams of snatching the £50,000 cash prize were in danger.

It also meant that neither Shaq Muhammad and Tanya Manhenga, nor Tom Clare and Samie Elishi received any votes from their fellow Islanders.

The couples who survives Sunday's show will move on to the final episode on Monday, which will be an epic movie length episode before winner is crowned.

Love Island continues every night at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX until the final on Monday, March 13.
