Love Island fans all seem to think Gemma Owen looks the ‘spitting image’ of a famous American singer.
When viewers tuned in to the new series of the reality show, several took to Twitter to remark on similarities between Gemma, 19, and popstar Madison Beer.
One wrote: “Gemma lowkey looks like Madison Beer omg she’s so pretty.”
“Is Gemma Maddison Beer’s sister?” asked another.
“When I tell you I thought Madison Beer just walked on the tv,” joked another fan, while another wrote, “Gemma is just a British Madison Beer.”
One also thought she bore a resemblance to another reality show star.
“Gemma is STUNNING!” they wrote. “Dunno why she looks like she could be the love child of Madison Beer and Emily Miller from Too Hot to Handle lol.”
The first couples were unveiled on Monday night’s series premiere, after the public were asked to vote for the first time who they wanted the contestants to couple up with.
And during the first show, Gemma was coupled up with 22 year old postgraduate student Liam, from Newport.
When host Laura Whitmore asked what she thought, she replied: “Yeah he’s cute, he’s fit, I’m happy.”
Despite the pairing of five new couples, in typical Love Island style, the first bombshell of the series, Italian Davide Sanclimenti will be causing a stir as he heads into the villa, including Gemma’s.
Speaking in the Beach Hut following his arrival, Gemma confesses: “I was blown away.”
Gemma is following in the footsteps of previous contestants Dani Dyer and Sophie Piper as a relative of a famous face – in this case, the daughter of football legend Michael Owen.
While viewers compared Gemma’s looks to Madison Beer, she aspires to be more like Kylie Jenner.
Gemma hopes to follow in the footsteps of the young billionaire with her own business selling swimwear.
Speaking to The Mirror, Gemma said: “I would love to carry on with my business which I have just set up. It’s called OG Beachwear.
“I will be wearing a few bits in the villa, it’s a small collection at the moment.
“I really like the Kardashians, I watch them on telly and I follow them on social media.
“I think they are all good, powerful business women, what they have made for themselves is really inspiring, I’m a massive fan. Who wouldn’t like to be a billionaire like Kylie?”
