Love Island fans distracted from Martin and Tanya row by ‘god awful song covers’

Love Island fans were rubbed up the wrong way during the latest visit to the South African villa.

It all kicked off between Martin Akinola after he branded Tanya Manhenga a "liar" after she declared her love for Shaq Muhammad.

Martin decided to pull Tanya for a chat on Tuesday night (February 21) as he had a number of things to get off of his chest.

It comes after Tanya stood up in front of the other islanders and declared her love for her original partner Shaq on Monday night after the villa party.

Despite coming back from Casa with Martin, Tanya told everyone that she only had eyes for Shaq, meaning Martin was now out of the equation.

However, as Martin confronted Tanya, viewers were distracted by the background music accompanying the scene.

Taking to Twitter, one fan moaned: "Petition to have the original songs instead of these covers please."

Another added: "What are these terrible acoustic song covers."

A third person said: "Where tf do #loveIsland find these god awful song covers?"

While a fourth social media user wrote: "This series of #loveisland is just featuring cover songs of beautiful classic tunes."

Martin pulled Tanya for a chat and asked: "Tanya, can we have a chat?", before telling Shaq: "Shaq, you know I have no problems with you, it’s all good."

Tanya and Martin headed over to the fire pit, where he told her: "When I was speaking to you, you never told me you were a liar.

"You’re not sincere, you made me look like I was dumb, you’re a liar."

Tanya asked: "Is that what you had to get off your chest?"

She also bite back saying "One thing you're not going to do is call me a liar."

Later on, Martin told the other islanders: "I just said she was a liar and she was insincere, that's all I said."

At one point, Tanya was held back by Shaq who pleaded with her to "leave it," as she protested: "No, no, no, no!"
