Winter Love Island fans have been left 'confused' after realising that Shaq Muhammad and Tanya Manhenga are "not boyfriend and girlfriend".
Viewers of the popular ITV2 dating programme watched as Ron Hall asked Lana Jenkins to be his girlfriend, with the islanders becoming the "first official couple."
However, fans flocked to social media to ask why Shaq Muhammad and Tanya Manhenga were not the villa's first official couple, despite having said "I love you" to one another multiple times.

Tanya was paired with Shaq since day one, with the couple declaring their love for one another and spending a steamy night in the hideaway early on the in the series.
However, Tanya brought bombshell Martin Akinola back from Casa Amor and chose to couple with him, before later choosing to re-couple with Shaq.
Fans have now been left confused about their relationship status, with one saying: "Am I missing something…Shaq and Tanya love each other but aren't boyfriend and girlfriend."
"How is Ron and Lana the first couple? So Will and Jessie and Shaq and Tanya aren't a couple?" asked a second.
"So Tanya and Shaq have said I love you but they're not bf and gf?" agreed a third, while a fourth added: "I thought Shaq and Tanya were already bf and gf? Why are people saying Ron and Lana are first."
A fifth commented: "So all this time Shaq and Tanya ain't even together? But we've heard I love you from them more than I have heard in all Love Islands combined."
"How did Ron and Lana become boyfriend and girlfriend before Shaq and Tanya," asked a sixth.
Fans continued to discuss the moment on social media, with another fan saying: "Ron and Lana being the first official couple, but Tanya and Shaq being the only ones to say 'I love you' is baffling me."
"But Tanya and Shaq been saying love you since day 1 lol," agreed another, while an eighth said: "How can Lana and Ron become an actual couple before Shaq and Tanya?"
"Shaq and Tanya not being bf and gf but doing up I love you every episode is kinda odd," added another, while one fan said: "Still baffled that Shaq and Tanya love each other but aren't boyfriend and girlfriend."
However, other fans do not think it will be long before the couple reach "official status," with one viewer saying: "Won't be surprised if Shaq and Tanya are boyfriend and girlfriend in the next episode."
The comments follow a tense re-coupling earlier in the week, when Tanya chose Shaq over her Casa Amor fling Martin Akinola, who was subsequently sent home.
Viewers took to Twitter to share their love for Martin as they said a fond farewell to him online, with one penning: "We finally saw Martin's personality and I really liked it #loveisland."
Another agreed: "It was sad to see Martin go, but respect to him for his leaving speech."
Meanwhile, a third added: "This was the best leaving speech anyone has given on the show! Martin more than made his mark, I'm so glad he was in the villa long enough to be a highly memorable Islander" And the fashions were definitely fashioning #loveisland."
