Love Island winner says hes returning to old job three years after show victory

Love Island winner Finley Tapp has announced he's returning to his old job.

The 23-year-old star won the first-ever winter edition of the ITV2 dating show back in 2020 with Paige Turley.

He shared some exciting news with fans on social media about his future.

Finn penned: "Buzzing to have signed for Banbury Utd! Couldn't be happier to finally get back to doing something I love doing.

"It's been a long time coming to get the boots back on but I'm so pleased I did.

"It's been a tough couple of months putting my head down and working hard to get myself back fit, but I'm feeling good and looking forward to the season getting underway."

Unsurprisingly, fans rushed to support Finn following his announcement.

One of his followers gushed: "Back on the pitch where you belong!'"

Another added: "G’warn the boyyyy."

A third person posted: "Well done Finn."

While a fourth social media user said: "Amazing! So happy for you congrats."

Three years after finding love in the villa, Finn and Paige have gone their separate ways.

Singer Paige confirmed the rumours on Love Island spin-off show After Sun last month.

Speaking to presenter Maya Jama, Paige said: "We're still really good friends. I think we drifted apart.

"We did lockdown together and any and every struggle we could have faced we were faced with."

Maya went on to ask the blonde bombshell if she is looking for a new partner yet, with the reality star adding: "No, no, not for a while".

She appeared on After Sun alongside former co-star Shaughna Phillips, who joked "she's the new bombshell" heading into the villa.

Paige replied: 'No I'm not but if he [Finn] goes in there he will be in trouble, we're not having an Adam Collard bombshell again."

Love Island airs nightly on ITV2 and ITVX at 9pm
