Love Islander gives tip for getting ‘VIP treatment’ and ‘top tier’ meals on show

Love Island star Abigail Rawlings has shared why she received "top tier" treatment on the show.

The series seven star opened up about her time in the villa exclusively to the Daily Star during an Instagram Live chat.

Daily Star host Carly Hacon chatted to her about why her co-stars were "jealous" of her on the programme.

Showbiz reporter Carly asked: "I also saw on your YouTube video that you said they were sometimes jealous of you because of your eating habits, because you got separate meals as you were veggie.

"So, was that a bit like VIP treatment – should the other islanders be going veggie for the better meals?"

To which Abigail, 28, responded: "Maybe… I mean it comes out like buffet style but because I was the only one who didn't eat meat, I had mine in a separate box.

"I think it was from their canteen and their food is going to be nice.

"I used to have my own separate proper meal and everyone would be like 'Oh, can I have some and I'd be like 'Not really, because then I'm not eating' so maybe just go veggie but yeah my meals were top tier. I was fed well."

Tattoo artist Abi also revealed that Islanders were often made to use "smelly" portaloos.

Abigail said: "Yeah, so I don't know if they always do it, but because of Covid, ours was a lot more restrictive with our contact with people.

"They used to deep clean the villa and they would put tape up and we weren't allowed in the villa while the cleaners were in there.

"And they would do that every day at midday and if anyone needed a wee, we would have to go around the back in the garden.

"It was so hot, it was like a sauna, and all the boys used it too, and it was really smelly. It depended on how desperate you needed a wee. You just have to suck it up."

Abigail starred in the 2021 series of the show and entered the villa mid-way as a bombshell – but failed to find love on the programme.
