MAFS UK fans spot key sign Whitney and Matt have already split up

Some Married at First Sight UK fans are convinced that controversial couple Whitney Hughes and Matt Murray have split since filming ended for the E4 reality show.

Viewers were left shocked during Thursday's episode when Matt, 32, declared his love Whitney, after just two weeks of being together.

This confession came just days after he had surprised new bride Whitney, 31, with a tattoo in her honour.

Before last Thursday's commitment ceremony, Matt could be seen expressing doubts as to whether his and Whitney's whirlwind romance could survive in the "real world."

Whitney could be seen sharing similar concerns as she said: "Once we step out it will be different, it is just the honeymoon period or a holiday romance? I’m scared to put my feeling into things."

And according to some fans it seems their worries may have come true, as the pair appear to have unfollowed one another on Instagram.

Whitney's most recent Instagram post is a snap from the show of her and Matt kissing, but while she's tagged the show's Instagram, some fans noted that she has not tagged Matt himself.

After posting, her comments quickly filled with people asking about her relationship status, now that the show has finished filming.

"Why are you posting these if you aren’t together anymore" asked on commenter.

While another wrote: "Still together??"

Others chimed in claiming that the couple aren't together anymore, although did not make it clear how they knew this.

Matt has also shared some snaps of the show, and while he doesn't say whether he and Whitney are still together he did write: "Do I regret doing the show? Absolutely not" followed by a red heart emoji.

Like Whitney's, Matt's comment section also quickly filled with people curious about his relationship status, with one joking: "At least the tattoo will last."

One commenter asked: "Are you and Witney still together?"

To which another replied: "They don’t even follow each other on insta lol."

Another comment reads: "I think most of us knew you and Whitney were not going to last, some people will do anything to be on TV."

Despite rumours of a split, Whitney was in high spirits as she attended the National Television Awards, alongside her co-star April Banbury.
