Maisie Smith and Max George spark tension as she ‘isolates herself from Strictly Ballroom cast’ | The Sun

MAISIE Smith and boyfriend Max George have sparked tension on the Strictly Ballroom tour by isolating themselves from the cast.

The smitten EastEnders actress ,21,  has been joined by The Wanted singer, 34, on the road – and the loved-up couple have been inseparable whenever she’s not on stage.

Last week the couple were holed up in a £150 a night seaside Airbnb thirty minutes out of Sunderland, while the rest of the dancers stayed more locally.

An insider said: “Maisie and Max are in the first throes of romance and just wanted to spend all their time together.

“Max headed to Sunderland with Maisie last week and she rushed to be with him every night after being on stage.

“Everyone gets on but they are slightly bemused by her absence because there has been lots of socialising, which she just hasn’t been part of.

“She even missed a lunch for Kevin’s birthday last week – opting to be with Max instead.”

They added: “Maisie still doesn’t follow the other dancers on Instagram, but there are quite a few more months of tour so everyone is hoping she warms up to them all soon.”

Maisie is playing Fran in the musical, directed by Craig Revel Horwood, alongside Kevin.

She is currently scheduled to tour with them until March 20213.

Maisie — who played EastEnders favourite Tiffany Butcher for 13 years until her departure last year — first met Max when they starred in Strictly two years ago.

The heartbreaking reason Strictly's Jayde insisted she was paired with woman

After growing close on this year’s Strictly tour, in August they went public with their romance shortly after his split from Stacey Giggs, going on holiday and sharing a series of loved-up photos on social media.

After completing Celebrity SAS, she opened up about their romance, telling The Sun on Sunday:  “I came out of the show feeling so strong and so confident. And being more confident now, I allowed myself to open up and speak to Max about the feelings I did have about myself and how I feel about myself now.

“So now he really knows me, which is really nice. He knows me entirely. There are no feelings that I’ve kept inside, which is a weight off my shoulders.

“It feels amazing to know that when someone loves you they know every bit about you — the good and the bad. That’s what love is really.”

The Sun has contacted Maisie's rep for comment.
