Max Turner (Paddy Bever) gets some news about Griff Reynolds (Michael Condron) in upcoming Coronation Street episodes.
Griff was the leader of the right-wing extremism gang that Max joined last year. He manipulated Max into creating propaganda videos for the group’s social media and isolated him from his friends and family.
The racist and his mates were arrested after a bomb was found in the Speed Daal van, and Alya (Sair Khan) was rushed to hospital after being stabbed and since then, the focus has been on Max, who was arrested and sent to the STC.
After being released, Max has tried to change his life for the better. He attempted to make amends with Alya and soon, will be given the opportunity to get closure on his ordeal as a police officer arrives and says that the CPS need him to make a statement.

Prior to this, Max gets another reminder of his old life when Lauren (Cait Fitton) approaches.
Max met Lauren while in the gang, but she moved to Cornwall after the police intercepted and destroyed the group.
Lauren tells Max that she’s been kipping at the bus station as she’s fallen out with her mum, so he takes her to the café for a chat.
Towards the end of the week, Max tells Spider (Martin Hancock) that the CPS want him to make a statement for the trial and Spider encourages him to do the right thing.
With Shona (Julia Goulding) at his side, Max meets with the CPS lawyer and confirms that he’s willing to make a statement about how Griff groomed and manipulated him.
But will Max have to face Griff again if he’s asked to attend court?
Is Max strong enough for this?
