The Chase star Bradley Walsh left show audiences reeling after he cracked a cheeky innuendo about "plums".

Walsh was hosting the celebrity special version of the show which saw Catherine Tyldesley step up to try her hand at some general knowledge questions against quiz queen Anne Hegerty.

However, one question left host Bradley giggling as he saw an opportunity to make a very cheeky joke.

As the question flashed up on the screen, Walsh read out: "'Plum tuckered out' is slang for being what? Tired, skint or naked?"

While Anne and Catherine chose their answers, Bradley chuckled to himself and said: "Ha, naked. 'Plum tuckered out'. Got no clothes on – look! He's got his 'plum tuckers' out!"

The camera cut to Catherine, who had her finger in her mouth and laughed out loud after she heard Bradley's saucy quip.

Behind her, her fellow contestants, which included Dragon's Den star Levi Roots, were also seen laughing along.

Walsh then revealed that Catherine had chosen "tired," to which he said "of course it is".

The option then turned green to show that the answer was correct, but sadly Hegerty had also gone with the right answer with "no problem".

Walsh then moved on to read out the next question, which seemed to leave Catherine second guessing herself.

He asked her "how many years were between" the two films Wall Street and The Wolf of Wall Street.

The soap star's options were six years, 16 years or 26 years, and she seemed hesitant to answer the question.

Anne answered almost immediately while Bradley informed Catherine that he "needed an answer" before time ran out.

Tyldesley locked in her choice and Bradley told viewers that she'd chosen 26 years, to which she explained she felt "fairly confident" with the answer.

Walsh assured her it "had to be" the right one before he said that "he would say the same" and that he "thought she was right".

Luckily Catherine chose the right option and Walsh praised her with a quick "well played" from his corner of the studio.

The Coronation Street actress looked very pleased with herself as she progressed a step further on the leaderboard.
