Natalie J Robb is a Scottish actress and singer who joined the cast of the ITV soap Emmerdale in 2009. She is the youngest of three children and in the soap, she is the mother of four Dingle children. Express.co.uk has all you need to know about whether the star has any children off-screen.

Does Emmerdale’s Natalie J Robb have children?

This week on Emmerdale, Mackenzie Boyd (played by Lawrence Robb) is settling into his new attentive role.

He is touched by his sister Moira’s words about him being a great father.

If anyone knows about parenthood it is one of the matriarchs of the Dingle clan, Moira.

The mother-of-four has had a lot on her plate as she takes on the burdens of her children.

As for whether actress Natalie has any children off-screen, she does not appear to be a parent in real life.

She had been in a relationship with co-star Jonny McPherson, but the pair split back in 2021.

Jonny started appearing on Emmerdale as Dr Liam Cavanagh in 2014 but their paths did not cross much on screen.

However, they were very close off-screen and had talked about having children in the future.

At the time, Jonny said: “We had to make a decision as lots of couples did.

“We decided to move in together and so, yes, lockdown did fast forward our relationship.”

When asked if he would like children one day, Jonny told The Mirror: “Yes, it’s definitely a possibility.

“But I am so lucky as Natalie and I both love acting and as long as I’m working then I am delighted. I have a fantastic job and Natalie is wonderful too.”

Back in 2017, Natalie had a slightly awkward encounter on Loose Women with panellist Gloria Hunniford.

Gloria had been speaking about Moira losing her daughter Holly Barton, played by Sophie Powle, from a heroin overdose.

She said it must be hard for Natalie to watch and asked whether she had any children herself.

Natalie responded: “No, unfortunately not.” Gloria then asked her how she managed to play the role so well without kids.

“I asked a lot of people who’ve had children, and they gave me varied answers,” Natalie said.

“I just imagined myself in the situation, but it was harrowing to shoot it. So hard.”

This is not to say the actress will not have children in the future, once she has found the right partner.

In Emmerdale, Moira started having a relationship with Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) after the death of her husband John (James Thornton).

Moira was the one to propose to Cain, who accepted after having some initial reservations about her motives.

In the lead-up to the wedding, Moira’s brother-in-law James Barton (Bill Ward) threatened to reveal that Adam (Adam Thomas) is actually his biological son after a secret DNA test.

Emmerdale airs on weeknights on ITV at 7.30pm.
