NCIS season 20 marks two decades of the police procedural on CBS with new episodes coming out every Monday night. Episode five, which is entitled Guardian, is going to see Director Leon Vance (played by Rocky Carroll) in need of protection after a home invasion. Here’s everything there is to know about the cast of NCIS’ Guardian.

Who stars in NCIS season 20 episode 5?

Lena Paulsen – Marem Hassler

Welcomed to episode five will be Lena Paulsen who has been pictured alongside Agent Alden Parker (Gary Cole) and Director Vance.

Not much else is known about this character but it looks as if all three have gathered together at an Interpol Conference.

So she is most likely someone who works with an organisation such as the FBI in order to fight international crime.

Lena is portrayed by Swedish actress Marem Hassler who has been in a number of other shows during her career so far.

Hassler’s career started in 2002 when she appeared in a show called Lexx as Skankita.

From then, she has been in Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life, Dream Team, South Beach, Riley Parra, and most recently, Beacon Hill as Katherine Wesley.

She also has plenty of work coming up with a new series called Emergency: LA in 2023, playing Terri Devine.

Other work in production for Hassler are Sequalae, Love, Bees and F*****y and Witchy Ways.

Apart from Massler, there are no further details regarding who will guest star in Guardian.

The show’s usual suspects are all expected to return though, including Agent Nick Torres (Wilmer Valderrama), Agent Jessica Knight (Katrina Law), Kasie Hines (Diona Reasonover) and Jimmy Palmer (Brian Dietzen).

Going by the synopsis, more focus is going to be on Agent Parker as he does what he can to keep Director Vance safe following someone breaking into his home.

However, there will be plenty to look forward to in terms of the team’s loved-up du

Since season 19, Jessica and Jimmy have been flirting around the idea of getting together.

As time has gone on though, they have grown closer and are now dating but are trying to keep it on the down low.

Jessica’s ex-boyfriend Gage Winchester (Caleb Alexander Smith) showed up in episode four, trying to win her back, much to the annoyance of fans.

But this only brought her and Jimmy closer together and this will continue in Guardian.

The description for episode five reads: “The team sense progress in Jessica and Jimmy’s growing romance.”

So it’s now clear to their colleagues that their relationship is getting serious.

Could it be that Jessica may be the next woman to say I do to the lovable chief medical examiner?

NCIS season 20 continues every Monday on CBS in the USA. A UK release date hasn’t been announced.
