The Strays (2023)
The latest addition to Netflix’s roster of shows has left viewers horrified – with some labelling it the ‘scariest film of 2023’ and that they’re ‘scarred for life.’
The Strays, currently on Netflix, follows a mixed-race woman, Neve, who has crafted a seemingly perfect life for herself in a middle-class predominantly white suburb in the UK.
But her bubble is burst when she starts seeing things that may not be there and is fearful something or someone from her past is returning to haunt her.
It’s not long before two strangers appear in her life, infiltrating every part of her world with ambitions to ruin everything she’s fought so hard to create.
When the truth is revealed, there are serious consequences for anyone who has been caught up in Neve’s web of deceit and lies.
The film has had such an impact on viewers, it’s been compared to Jordan Peele’s 2017 psychological horror Get Out.
