 The Unholy (2021)

The film just hit screens on the streaming site – and fans have admitted it "scare the s*** out of them", leaving them horrified.

The movie sees a hearing-impaired young girl visited by the Virgin Mary, allowing her to hear, speak and heal the sick.

However, as people flock to witness her miracles, terrifying events begin to unfold, as it appears she's possessed by a more sinister spirit.

Taking to Twitter, one viewer wrote: "The Unholy scared the s*** out of me," as another chimed in: "We didn't finish it, I was SO terrified."

"Solid horror movie, there were parts that definitely scared the s*** out of me," a third agreed.

A fourth penned: "I started watching the unholy on Netflix… only five minutes in and unless my boyfriend stays at mine, it's going to stay that way."

The Strays (2023)

The latest addition to Netflix’s roster of shows has left viewers horrified – with some labelling it the ‘scariest film of 2023’ and that they’re ‘scarred for life.’

The Strays, currently on Netflix, follows a mixed-race woman, Neve, who has crafted a seemingly perfect life for herself in a middle-class predominantly white suburb in the UK.

But her bubble is burst when she starts seeing things that may not be there and is fearful something or someone from her past is returning to haunt her.

It’s not long before two strangers appear in her life, infiltrating every part of her world with ambitions to ruin everything she’s fought so hard to create.

When the truth is revealed, there are serious consequences for anyone who has been caught up in Neve’s web of deceit and lies.

The film has had such an impact on viewers, it’s been compared to Jordan Peele’s 2017 psychological horror Get Out.

One fan warned: “If you’re trying to sleep well tonight, don’t watch The Strays right before bed.”

Another added: "Just finished watching The Strays on Netflix and I think I’m scarred for life, because what the hell did I just watch?”

Old People

The film, which is directed by Andy Fetscher, is about a woman who travels back to her hometown with her two children for her sister's wedding.

But in a sadistic twist, she find herself defending her family against blood-seeking pensioners.

And while most horror movies have a chilling twist, it seems as though this Netflix film has taken things to an even darker level, leaving viewers scared.

Taking to Twitter, one viewer wrote: "Not entirely sure why I’m still watching It’s creepy, disgustingly horrifying, sadistic, and just messed up."

Incantation is so terrifying it managed to freak out TikTok when it was first released, resulting in a challenge for people to watch the movie without pausing or stopping altogether.

Incantation is Taiwan’s highest-grossing horror movie of all time and it seems like Netflix viewers can’t get enough of the terrifying film.

One watcher tweeted: “HOLY SH*T!!! Incantation was the scariest movie ive ever seen. Cursed movie. I don’t think I’ll be sleeping with the lights off today.”

“Two days before I knew about the film and watched it I dreamt of a man covered in writing after being cursed.  Yikes!!!  Such a good film and I hope it didn't curse me!!,” added another fan.

A third enthused: “I watched #incantation yesterday and OH . MY . GOD the plot twist damnnn!”

The youngster, Clara, is convinced if she steps across a chalk square on the ground she will be haunted by a monster.

Netflix warns viewers the pair, Clara and Simon, will work together to unlock the child's dark past and states: "Wife Paula must decipher the girl's strange behaviours to unlock her identity and dark past."

After they decide to adopt her in an attempt to discover her secrets, the plot takes a terrifying twist.
