Since the release of No Time To Die last year, James Bond fans have been yearning for some new information on the next 007. Daniel Craig stepped down from the franchise after 15 years and five movies, but who will take his place? Recently, Henry Cavill was at the top of the list on the Bond odds – but things have just drastically changed.
Cavill now sits in second place in Ladbrokes’ Bond odds with a powerful 7/2.
The Brit’s odds have likely spiralled out of control since it was confirmed he’ll be reprising his role as Superman in the upcoming DC Comics movie Black Adam.
With the Boy in Blue’s cape firmly back on his back, he may be locked in to play Clark Kent for years to come, meaning taking on 007 would be out of the question.
Instead, Regé-Jean Page has steamed ahead of him. The star, who originally made a name for himself in the Netflix period drama Bridgerton, has finally made his way to the top of the odds.
Page currently has a staggering 3/1 on becoming the next James Bond after Craig.
However, he has previously opened up about how “flattering” these 007 rumours are – while adding that he is not taking them seriously.
Just behind Page and Cavill is a relative newcomer to the Bond odds, however.
Ladbrokes have now awarded Dan Stevens a powerful set of odds to become the new-and-improved James Bond.

Stevens is best known for playing the Prince in Disney’s 2017 remake of Beauty and the Beast.
He played the hairy monster opposite the Harry Potter star Emma Watson. Since then, he has appeared in some smaller movies including I’m Your Man, The Rental and Lucy in the Sky.
Despite being a relative outsider, his odds have improved drastically over the past few days.
Currently, he has a staggering 5/1 on donning the tuxedo and grasping a martini in the near future.
Ladbrokes’ Alex Apati said: “Dan Stevens has joined the frontrunners to replace Daniel Craig as 007, and while Regé-Jean Page heads the betting, there’s now no less than nine names currently priced at 10/1 or shorter… making the race closer than we’ve ever seen.”
Indeed, it’s an exciting time to be a James Bond fan – but not a great time to be Tom Hardy.
Hardy has been a fan favourite star primed to take over as 007, but things are beginning to go south for him.
The Venom and Dunkirk star was once at the top of the Bond odds, however, he has now slipped back to fifth place, behind even the newcomer, Stevens.
Currently, Hardy has 8/1 on becoming James Bond in the next few years.
While this is bad news, he is currently neck-and-neck with Idris Elba, who has the same odds. And he has become a person of interest for the Bond bosses.
In recent weeks, Bond leaders Barbara Broccoli and Michael G Wilson have revealed they “love Elba”. They added: “The thing is, it’s going to be a couple of years off. And when we cast Bond, it’s a 10-12-year commitment. So he’s probably thinking, ‘Do I really want that thing? Not everybody wants to do that. It was hard enough getting [Daniel Craig to do it].”
