Paul Cattermole tearful on 2019 episode of First Dates Hotel
Paul Cattermole had experienced many ups and downs in his life, including a heartfelt interview whilst staying at the First Dates Hotel.
He was 42 years old when he appeared on the show with the hope of finding love.
Sadly, the singer walked away without a match, although he did meet fellow music lover Anna who gave him some wise words of advice.
Leaving the hotel alone was an emotional moment for the star, who opened up about how his popularity in the ’90s had impacted his confidence in future years.
Anna told Paul she would love to stay in touch with him, but not in a romantic way.
Anna said: “I feel like we have so much in common.
“I had a really lovely time. But I do think it would be good if you were more confident, I think you’re a lovely person and the industry has beaten you around a bit.”
Getting visibly emotional in front of the camera, and asking for “a moment”, Paul explained: “I feel like I hide the real me.
“If I really want to find someone what this process has taught me is yes, I need to be more confident and not be afraid.”
