Phillip Schofield in talks for tell-all memoir and TV comeback after scandal

Piers calls Carolyn McCall a liar after Schofield enquiry

Phillip Schofield is reportedly planning on releasing a tell-all memoir and considering a return to television, it has been claimed.

The 61-year-old broadcaster, who hosted This Morning for more than 20 years, was recently pictured dining with Vanessa Feltz in West London.

She is part of the This Morning team and also works for Rupert Murdoch’s TalkTV which she regularly presents on.

It has now been reported Phillip could be interested in following his former co-star Vanessa to TalkTV.

“Phil has really kept his head down since he left This Morning,” a source told The Mirror.

“Losing his entire career in a matter of weeks hit him hard, and he needed time to recover. Even now, everything is still very raw for him.

“But in the last few weeks, he has begun to entertain offers and consider what his next steps might be.”

They went on to claim: “When he met with Vanessa earlier this month, she suggested a conversation with Piers about Talk TV and he was open to that conversation.”

Phillip has reportedly been in talks with publisher Hodder & Stoughton regarding a memoir.

The source added: “He made it clear in the conversation that he would like the chance to tell his story in full, and in some ways to draw a line under what has happened, but that he would not do so without the approval of his family.”

Express.co.uk has contacted a representative for Phillip and Hodder & Stoughton for comment.

It was revealed earlier today (Saturday, August 26) his former co-host Holly Willoughby is complying with an investigation into his affair scandal.

Holly is one of a number of people assisting Jane Mulcahy KC with her investigation.

Kevin Lygo, ITV’s managing director, said earlier this week at the Edinburgh TV Festival: “[Mulcahy] has been talking to everybody involved, they take your phone and look at every single text you’ve ever sent, email, WhatsApp.

“So, everything is available, lots of interviews, talking to everybody and I hope as soon as possible, but probably in September, she will make that public.”

This Morning airs on weekdays from 10am on ITV and ITVX.
