Joel Dommett will replace Phillip Schofield on This Morning for two episodes this week.

Holly Willoughby revealed during Monday's (March 27) show that Phillip was taking a break from the show and was joined by Allison Hammond during Monday and Tuesday's episodes.

ITV bosses have since revealed that The Masked Singer UK host Joel will host the daytime programme with Holly on Wednesday (March 29) and Thursday (March 30) this week.

A message posted on This Morning's official Twitter account read: "Join @hollywills and guest presenter @joeldommett, this Wednesday and Thursday on #ThisMorning! See you at 10am on ITV1, STV and @ITVX!"

The news has gone down well with fans with viewers excited to see the pair on the blue sofa.

Taking to Twitter, one fan penned: "That will be a fabulous pairing."

Another added: "Love Joel. Looking forward to seeing him."

A third person posted: "It will be nice to see Joel on with Holly."

While a fourth social media user said: "What a random choice but I actually like it."

It comes after Holly fell to the floor after crashing into co-host Alison live on This Morning earlier this week.

Holly admitted ITV producers had to step in to check she didn't flash her knickers during the hilarious moment before airing it to the nation after an advertisement break.

Holly and Alison had been acting out a police chase in the studio, with Holly revealed as the 'criminal' by Alison who said: "Holly, it was you all along."

Holly replied: "Oops, I better run!", with Alison telling viewers: "Don't you worry, I'll catch her! See you after the break."

But it all went wrong when Holly ran into Alison at speed and tumbled to the floor in front of the cameras.

Committing to her role as the cop, Alison had grabbed a hold of her co-host before she hit the deck.

Alison admitted afterwards: "I'm so out of breath!" before Holly explained the incident to viewers and revealed the clip.

She said: "Well not only did you catch me, but we sort of collided together and I ended up on the floor."

Alison joked: "Like a rugby tackle!" before Holly agreed: "Yes!".

A red-faced Alison said: "I'm so sorry! You literally ran into my direction."

Holly protested: "I didn't see you!" before Alison asked: "We didn't see any knicker there, did we?"
