Pointless fans demand 'disaster' Sally Lindsay is AXED as they rage there's 'zero chemistry' with Alexander Armstrong | The Sun

POINTLESS fans are demanding that 'disaster' Sally Lindsay is axed after she recently replaced Richard Osman.

Earlier this year Richard Osman made the announcement that he would be leaving the show after 13 years.

He had presented the programme with Alexander Armstrong.

A brand new series of Pointless recently kicked off with Alexander remaining at the helm alongside guest presenters.

Actress Sally Lindsay is the first celeb to take Richard's seat, but fans are not happy with her performance.

They've taken to social media to demand the former Coronation Street star is sacked.

"Dear Points of View please please please remove Sally Lindsay," said one viewer.

Another fumed: "Sorry. I was delighted to see Osman go. His daily "Hiya" was as bad as fingernails on a chalkboard and he wasn't a tenth as intelligent/knowledgeable as he wanted us to believe. But this new person? Sheesh."

"What’s the obsession with Sally Lyndsey on quiz shows? She’s awful, just reading from a laptop doesn’t cut it on here, zero chemistry between them as well. #pointless," said a third.

While a fourth said: "Have tried, but just can not watch this without Mr Osmond…. Absolutely #Pointless."

Richard was previously forced to publicly defend Sally following a backlash from fans.

The popular BBC quiz show sees contestant try and score as little points as possible.

The aim of the game is to incorrectly come up with answers nobody else would think of.

Speaking previously about his departure, Osman said: "Pointless has been a joy from start to finish, working alongside my friend Alexander Armstrong, backed by the most wonderful team, and for the best viewers in the world.

"I will miss everyone so much, but I'm thrilled that I'll still be presenting the celebrity shows. I can't thank everyone enough for twelve amazing years.”

Pointless airs weekday evenings from 5:15pm on BBC One.
