RACHEL Stevens has broken the silence on if an S Club 7 reunion will ever happen – and why it's taking so long.

The 44-year-old shot to fame in 1999 alongside Tina Barrett, Paul Cattermole, Jon Lee, Bradley McIntosh, Jo O'Meara and Hannah Spearritt as part of the British pop group.


The band was active between the years of 1999 and 2003.

Then in 2014, they reunited to appear on BBC Children in Need's telethon, and toured around the UK for their arena reunion Bring It All Back the following year.

Rachel is definitely keen to do it all again – but has also explained why it's so difficult.

Speaking exclusively to The Sun about if she would take part in a reunion, Rachel said: "I would definitely.

"I always say the same thing that getting seven of us together, it's different to any band really because there is those extra two make who make a difference logistically.

"If everyone was up for it. One million per cent."

When asked if the band all still talk to one another, Rachel added: "Yeah we do keep in contact."

In April last year Rachel's former bandmate Jo raised hopes of a reunion after saying she "would be up for it".

Months before The Sun exclusively revealed that S Club 7 were in talks to reunite and record new music together after 20 years.

It comes after Rachel revealed she had split from her husband of more than a decade Alex Bourne in July this year.

The pair, who were childhood sweethearts, married in 2009 and share daughters Amelie, 11, and Minnie, eight.

She revealed the shocking news on Instagram tonight insisting they would stay "united" as a family.

Rachel rose to fame as part of pop sensation S Club 7 in 1999, going on to be a major pin-up in the lads mag era.

She went on to star on Dancing on Ice, coming second alongside dance partner Vincent Simone.

Rachel recently insisted she's love to recreate her mag shoot days at the age of 44.

She previously told The Sun: “Yes I’d do another bikini shoot, why not?

“I loved doing those shoots because it was an opportunity to do something where I could express myself in a different way to Top Of The Pops or Smash Hits and all those other magazines the band did.

“I love photoshoots and find them really creative. I love getting involved with how we are going to make the pictures look."

Ria attended the Disney100 Debut event in London last week to kick off Disney’s 100 Years of Wonder celebrations.

A series of upcoming fan experiences to mark its 100 Years of Wonder were announced on the night, including a European concert tour, immersive Wonder of Friendship exhibition, as well as a range of new products.
