SHAMELESS star Jody Latham is facing trial accused of failing to disclose information to the police when he was allegedly caught speeding.
The actor, who played Lip Gallagher in the Channel 4 series, was clocked going 53mph into a 40mph zone in his Range Rover in March last year, it is said.
Latham, 39, is also accused of driving without due care and attention in a VW Golf in November 2020.
Salford Magistrates' Court heard notices asking him to identify who was driving the cars were sent to his home in Colne, Lancashire.
But the police received no response back – causing Latham to be charged with two counts of failing to provide information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle.
He is now due to stand trial on February 10 after denying the charges.

Latham claims he’d “never been provided with any supporting evidence” about the alleged offences and he’d not received any of the notices.
He told the court the letters may have been sent to a former address he had rented out during Covid.
The actor, who also starred in EastEnders, said there had been a disagreement with the landlord and his mail was stolen.
He added: "A representative of the landlord was stealing my mail.

Latham also claimed the Golf was a company car, which other people had access to, and said he would now be instructing a lawyer.
The star is best-known for his roles as Lip Gallagher in Channel 4’s comedy drama Shameless and Rob Grayson in BBC1 soap EastEnders.
