Stacey Dooleys BBC show axed in difficult decision after two series

This is My House: Stacey Dooley hosts new BBC show

This Is My House premiered in 2021, with presenter Stacey Dooley fronting the guessing game show, but the series has been axed after two runs.

The series saw celebrities peeking around strangers’ houses in an attempt to try to guess who owns the property out of a group of four contestants.

The BBC show saw the likes of Alison Hammond, Richard Madeley, and Joel Dommett partake in the task.

While Stacey fronted the first series, her role was replaced in series two, with Sophie Willan providing a voiceover instead.

A BBC spokesperson explained that “difficult decisions” had to be made on the channel.

Speaking to The Mirror, they stated: “Sometimes difficult decisions have to be made, so whilst there will be not be another series of This is MY House on BBC One and iPlayer, we would like to extend our thanks to Richard Bacon and the entire team at Expectation plus all our celebrity sleuths for two series of the show.”

Earlier this year Stacey, 36, welcomed her daughter, Minnie, with boyfriend and former Strictly Come Dancing star, Kevin Clifton.

The 40-year-old recently explained he has given up work to be there full-time for his baby daughter.

Speaking about a different project of hers, Stacey was forced to apologise to fans earlier this month after there was an issue with tickets for her one-woman show.

On her Instagram story, Stacey shared the flyer from the event that would see her interviewed by Katie Piper.

The production company behind the event typed: “We are aware of an issue regarding tickets for tonight’s event at The Barbican Centre with Stacey Dooley.

“For any customers who haven’t received their tickets. Please email [email protected] to contact our Customer Service Team. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.”

In response, Stacey replied: “Urghhhh SO SORRY. Should be sorted ASAP. So sorry for saga and see you tonight!”(sic)

Stacey is currently visiting venues across the UK with her In Conversation with Stacey Dooley show.
