Stephanie Davis hangs out with Hollywood star as she records album after Corrie exit

Stephanie Davis has traded the cobbles for the recording studio after filming her exit from Coronation Street.

The soap star, 30, who shot to fame as Sinead O'Connor in Hollyoaks, has jetted off to America to record her debut album, and has been joined in the recording studio with Hollywood actor Jamie Campbell Bower.

Taking to her Instagram Story, Stephanie shared a snap of herself posing with the Stranger Things actor, to which she added the text: "So good to see Jamie pop into the studio today. How good was he in Stranger Things?

"Super talent actor and super talented artist. So much love for you. Twas a blessed day."

Jamie 34, most recently starred in Netflix's Stranger Things, and before that had appeared in Twilight, Harry Potter, and The Mortal Instruments.

He was also a member of the punk rock band Counterfeit and has been performing as a solo singer following the band's split in 2020.

Stephanie recently announced that she was recording music, telling her fans on Instagram: "I am extremely excited to announce that my debut single will be released in May next year!

"I am about to fly out to America to start recording my debut album with some of the worlds best producers!

"This album is dedicated to the fighters, the parents and all of the people who've overcome the impossible. This music is for you. So much has gone into the whole album & I really hope you all relate & love it as much as I do."

It comes after Stephanie's stint as Corrie's Courtney Vance came to an end, with a source telling The Sun: "Steph was over the moon to land a part on Corrie after things went so wrong on Hollyoaks and she had genuinely impressed with her work and commitment to the ITV soap.

"Naturally she’d hoped that maneater Courtney could stick around for a good few years but bosses feel like the story arc is complete – she’s not being killed off, though, so there’s no reason why Courtney couldn’t one day return and the door remains open to Steph."

Stephanie previously OK! about her decision to return to the world of acting, following a three year break.

Sharing that she had taken a break to spend more time with her son Caben, Stephanie told us: "I was in Hollyoaks for 10 years, but while I was working, I never got to see Caben.

"Those early years are so precious and I thought, ‘He needs his mum, I need to be there,’ so I took three or four years out.

"This year, I was sitting at home and I said to Joe, ‘I need to do what I love, I need to hear "rolling up" and "action".’ I was welling up, saying, ‘When I hear that, I’ll be back at home.'"
