Strictly fans fume Zara McDermott was robbed as she breaks down after exit

Zara McDermott reveals ‘sad day’ at Strictly

Strictly Come Dancing fans fumed Zara McDermott’s elimination was “robbery” as the reality star cried after being voted off the BBC competition.

For the third week in a row, Love Island star Zara and dancer partner Graziano Di Prima found themselves in the dreaded dance-off on Sunday’s show.

This time, the four judges unanimously voted them out, opting to save Adam Thomas and Luba Mushtuk.

It followed fan favourite episode Halloween Week, which saw each pair donning spooky costumes and dancing to songs in theme with the scary night.

Despite mixed responses from the judges, Zara found herself at the bottom of the leaderboard once all couples had performed.

Zara struggled to speak as she became overcome with emotion before breaking down in tears when Graziano paid a sweet tribute to her.

“She is literally what Strictly is all about, a complete novice, coming into the hard job, you’ve got such a pure soul – you’re so humble,” the dancer told her.

As she wiped away tears, he continued: “And I say thank you that I’ve found a friend like you, I’ve learned so much from you.”

Some fans of the show weren’t pleased with the judge’s decision, with some taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, to complain Zara should have stayed in the competition.
