Strictly Come Dancing’sGiovanni Pernice and his former dance partner Rose Ayling-Ellis have reunited days after his new partner was announced.
Loyal fans of the BBC One dance competition will remember how the dancing duo stormed to victory when they won the show back in 2021.
Since then, the winning couple have developed a loyal fanbase and firm friendship away from the cameras and regularly stay in contact.
On Saturday, the Italian stallion was partnered up with his new celebrity dance partner, Sherlock star Amanda Abbington.

A day later the pals reunited a day later, although Rose attempted to deny their reunion in a silly video together.
Taking to her Instagram, Rose told Giovanni’s followers: “Hello, Giovanni rung me to do a video and yes it is me! My name is Rebecca, it is, it’s Rebecca.”
Giovanni could then be seen shouting over her: “Hi Rose” as they burst into laughter at her foiled plan.
It comes after Rose liked Gio’s post announcing his new dance partner online as he prepared for weeks of training ahead of them.
He penned: “And we are off… thrilled to be dancing with the wonderful Amanda Abbington! We have done one week of training and loved every single second of it! Let’s do this.
“Already can’t with to see you what we are preparing for our first dance. Let’s do this.”
Giovanni said on the launch show: “I’ve been doing this show for a long time now and I have never had a reaction like this. She was very happy which makes me happy obviously.”

Amanda replied: “The thing I'm most excited about is being in the rehearsal room. We have the same sense of humour. I’m a really good student, I go for straught A’s all the time.”
Gio cheekily quipped: “If you’re willling to spend 20 hours in a room with me then winner, winner.”
