Strictly's Tony Adams proves backstage bust-up with Katya Jones is over with bizarre clothing item | The Sun

STRICTLY dance stars Tony Adams and Katya Jones have proved they've put their backstage bust-up well behind them.

It comes after The Sun revealed Tony, 56, held "crisis" talks last week hours before his live performance with Russian beauty Katya.

Katya scolded Tony and gave him some "home truths" after he delivered a poor rehearsal – and then threw a strop.

The former footballer later explained her no-nonsense pep talk worked, saying on It Takes Two: "I think she admits it could have gone either way. I could have thrown my toys out of the pram and gone home."

Taking to Instagram last night, Katya showed fans that the dancing pair had moved past the awkward blip.

She shared a photo of Tony listening to music and said: "Part of the process is to get familiar with the song. While wearing my face on his feet of course."

Tony broke down in tears on Strictly after an emotional performance last week, as Katya gave him a cuddle.

Admitting to It Takes Two host Rylan Clark what happened, Tony admitted: "I was full of fear beforehand. We had a team talk.

"She [Katya] came into my dressing room after our dress rehearsal and told me a few home truths about me holding back.

"I think she admits it could have gone either way. I could have thrown my toys out of the pram and gone home.

"But I fought back the fear and just kind of went for it."

Katya replied: "What you said is right, I took a risk.

"It could have fallen apart or it could have given him that extra fire in his belly.

"I took a risk because I thought that's what he needs right now. It definitely did pay off."

Giving fans an insight to their backstage row, Tony compared it to a telling off from his old Arsenal boss George Graham.
