Sunday Brunch: Tim shares why Simon is absent
Many Sunday Brunch viewers were left annoyed and switching off from the Channel 4 talk show this morning, after not knowing who any of the guests were.
Simon Rimmer and Sophie Morgan were joined by Pauline McLynn, Tom Read Wilson, Darren Harriott and Bimini.
However, some fans were left unimpressed with the line-up and took to their Twitter accounts to make their views known.
@pat11669019 asked: “What??? Who??? #sundaybrunch.”
@johnlennonsboot commented: “Switched on. Dont know anyone and Tim isn’t there. Switches off again #sundaybrunch.”

@Itt39354118 added: “Nobody seems to know any of the guests haha #sundaybrunch. Well, I’ve heard of Tom but that’s it #sundaybrunch.”
@Jimbo1921_2019 tweeted: “Broke my record for a Sunday. The off button has been flicked after 3 minutes. Now to go and do something constructive #sundaybrunch.”
@Batman3983 expressed: “Does #SundayBrunch pick random people off the street 5 minutes before the show starts?” (sic)
Now all viewers were left unimpressed with the guests as Jane Harrow tweeted: “Oh yes I love Tom! He’s so funny on Celebs go dating,” whilst @AndyBOOTS said: “I love the diversity of the all the guests, all such different backgrounds and careers.” (sic)

Simon recently suffered a heartbreaking loss within his family, announcing the death of his ‘fighter’ dad Peter.
Taking to his Twitter with a photo of himself and his father, he wrote: “It’s with great sadness that I have to announce the death of my hero, my dad Peter.
“Two heart operations, two lots of cancer. He’s a fighter. He’s the smartest, most gentle human being. Love you dad see you later.”
Simon had previously opened up on his dad’s health journey, and revealed he was nine-years-old when his dad was diagnosed with cancer and initially told that he had very little chance of survival.
Touching on his experience watching his dad’s fight, Simon told The Mirror back in 2020: “As I look back, to my childhood I remember being nine-years-old and my dad being diagnosed with cancer.
“And [he] was told he had very little chance of survival – he’s now 84 and still going strong! I remember my dad being a very strong human being.
“I remember him using that when he was fighting his illness – he had the power of positivity and mental agility and that always stuck with me.”
Sunday Brunch airs Sunday from 9:30am on Channel 4.
