ITV ‘hits back at Nigel Farage’ after I’m A Celeb star said he was ‘stitched up’

GB News: Nigel Farage returns to show

ITV have denied claims made by I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here’s Nigel Farage that someone was doing their best to make things “unpleasant” for him during his time in the jungle. The politician turned GB News presenter took to the channel on Monday evening to issue a warning to ITV chief Kevin Lygo.

“It seems whilst I was in the jungle, one or two people at the top of ITV were doing their best to make things unpleasant for me,” he said.

The former UKIP leader warned that Kevin should “look what happened”’ to Dame Alison Rose at NatWest, who was forced to quit after Nigel was debanked because of his politics.

However, ITV staff reportedly denied his allegations telling The Times: “It’s all a lot of noise… We were definitely no tougher on him than the others.”

In a clip from his Monday night show shared to social media, Nigel said he had no complaints about the I’m a Celebrity production staff and insisted he did not “want to ruin the warm glow” he was feeling after going on the show.

But in a message to ITV senior figures including Kevin, he said: “It’s up to you mate. If you want to go to war with me you really can.

“But the last person to do that was called Dame Alison Rose from NatWest bank and look what happened to her.”

He added: “So I would suggest Mr Lygo that I am prepared to ignore your rude one handed gestures and the pathetic attempts by some of your staff to stitch me up.

“If you really want to go to war with me I don’t think it will do ITV’s share price an awful lot of good.”

Nigel’s no nonsense remarks came after he emerged from the jungle in third place having found himself in the final with former boxer Tony Bellew and Made in Chelsea star Sam Thompson.

Ultimately Sam was crowned King Of The Jungle after winning over the public and his fellow campmates with his infectious personality.
