Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter) has found himself in the middle of a complex situation in Emmerdale after he took a job with his friend Corey (Kyle Rowe) – who turned out to be working for a firm owned by Caleb Milligan (William Ash).
Nate’s main job has been as a driver to Harry (Robert Beck), a fearsome criminal kingpin who Corey has warned Nate to stay on the right side of. In return, he gets large tips from Harry which have helped out his and Tracy (Amy Walsh)’s financial situation, but Nate has been uncomfortable about some of the things he’s been asked to do.
The legitimate side of the business involves fleet cars which are sent to Cain (Jeff Hordley)’s garage to be serviced. This is Caleb’s way of putting money back in Cain’s pocket after almost ruining Moira (Natalie J. Robb)’s farm business, and Caleb has insisted to Nate that Cain mustn’t know about his involvement otherwise he’d be too proud and stubborn to take the work.
Things get even more difficult for Nate in upcoming episodes when Chas (Lucy Pargeter) discovers the connection between the business he’s working for and Caleb.
Even worse, he discovers that Corey’s latest venture is using the company to shift illegal guns, which he tries to move but has to hide when Tracy disturbs him. He goes to Caleb with his concerns, and Caleb is furious to discover what Corey has been doing. He and Nate head off to get the guns but to their horror the weapons have vanished.
Corey is not happy when he hears the guns have gone missing, and knowing that they belonged to Harry fills him with dread.
Caleb decides to tackle the situation head-on and sets up a meeting with Harry. Meanwhile Nate has told Tracy everything and she begs him to enlist Cain’s help as back up to confront Harry.
Caleb attempts to keep his cool as he meets with Harry, whose behaviour is sinister and threatening. Caleb firmly insists that he won’t have anything to do with Harry’s illegal activities, but Harry is the sort of villain you don’t say no to – and he’s not alone.
As Harry’s henchmen head towards Caleb, he realises he’s in serious trouble with apparently no help in sight.
