The Chase first graced our television screen 13 years ago today (June 29).
The ITV quiz show is hosted by Bradley Walsh and sees contestants play against a professional quizzer, known as the "chaser", who attempts to prevent them from winning a cash prize.
Mark "The Beast" Labbett and Shaun "The Dark Destroyer" Wallace have both been chasers since series one.

Anne "The Governess" Hegerty joined in series two, while Paul "The Sinnerman" Sinha first appeared on the show in series nine.
Jenny "The Vixen" Ryan made her debut in series nine and Darragh "The Mennace" Ennis is the newest cast member and joined the cast in series 13.
Daily Star has taken a look inside Darragh's life away from the ITV cameras as the show marks another anniversary.
Quiz show past
Darragh joined The Chase cast back in Autumn 2020, three years after famously beating Paul Sinha, when he appeared first as a contestant in March 2017.
He successfully won £9,000 in the cash builder round, having stated openly that he planned to use his winnings to buy a new back door for his house.
But it wasn’t to be – his team lost out on the winnings in the fnal Chase.
At the time, fans went so wild for his losses after such a stellar performance that they created a GoFundMe for him, which Darragh later insisted would be given to charity.
He was a contestant on quiz show Rebound in 2015 before appearing on The Chase.
Second job
Darragh studied at Maynooth University, graduating with a BSc in biology in 2002 and a PhD in ecology in 2008.
After completing his doctorate, he worked as a biomedical scientist at ICON for a year before undertaking postdoctoral research at Concordia University in Montreal, Canada from 2010 until 2012.
Since 2013, he has worked as a laboratory manager and research technician in the Department of Biochemistry at the University of Oxford, where he specialises in researching the brains of insects.
Rarely-seen wife
Last year, Darragh gave a glimpse into his marriage and revealed that he and his wife are college sweethearts.
He said: "We’re both Irish. We met in Maynooth University, we did our degrees and PhDs there.
"We were in labs down the hall from each other and she’s from Kildare.”
The scientist turned TV star insists he has two left feet and it was the first dance at his wedding that made him realise it.

He admitted: “I know everybody who goes on Strictly says they can’t dance – but I really can’t dance.
"It’s like saying to someone, ‘why don’t you go to Jupiter?’, it’s that impossible."
The Chaser went on: “I got lessons for my wedding and after my first dance, my mother in law said to me, ‘I thought you got lessons?’, so that was how much of an improvement I had! I can’t dance.
"Something like Strictly would be way out."
Proposals from fans
Darragh is frequently branded "Mr Smooth" and "Mr Suave" by host Bradley on The Chase.
However, it's not just the show's host who has spotted his charm as the scientist has been turning heads since becoming a household name.
He actually admitted he has been inundated with people offering their hands in marriage since joining the show.
But the happily married TV star said he finds all the attention "funny rather than flattering."
Darrah previously told Daily Star: "Since I started on The Chase I've had many marriage proposals.
"I must have had about 40 people asking if I'm married or would I marry them and would I meet up with them."
Half-naked video
The Chase fans went wild for Darragh last month after he took to Instagram to share a half naked video of himself.
The Menace enjoyed a day in his garden, in which he had placed a large white swimming pool filled to the brim with water.
He was topless and wore a pair of black swimming trunks as he spoke to his 12,300 followers.
He addressed the camera and said: "Right, time for some cold water swimming,” before he turned around to dive into the deep pool.
He gasped with shock as he made contact with the water and fans were loving his antics.
One wrote in the comments: "I’ll dry you off," while another said: "Wow, you’re so brave".
'Hot' makeover
Last Christmas, Darragh caused a storm online once again as his outfit caught the attention of ITV viewers watching at home.
Fans said the TV star must have had a "makeover", as he dolled up in a festive and glittery suit.
One said: "Oh my god Darragh looking hotter than holy hell there."
Another wrote: "Darragh is on The Chase!"
“Darragh looking very dashing on The Chase Christmas special tonight!” said another.
The Chase airs weekdays on ITV at 5pm
