The Cruise viewers shocked as passenger trashes suite and sends crew into a panic | The Sun

BRAND new Channel 5 show The Cruise has only just launched on Sunday night, and the series is already off to a chaotic start.

Viewers watched as staff onboard the cruise ship had to deal with the aftermath of a disrespectful passenger.

The new series is narrated by Sheridan Smith, and follows the lives of the crew onboard the Scarlet Lady and Valiant.

The ships head across the seas from Barcelona to Miami and even the Caribbean.

Staff are filmed rushing around completing various tasks whilst keeping an array of customers happy.

The first episode saw the staff welcoming their latest passengers – or as they call them, sailors – on board.

Only minutes into the show, Captain Giovanni and second Captain Georgia experienced some issues with strong winds.

Despite initial worries the voyage wouldn't set off on time, they made it.

However, things went wrong when it was discovered that an outgoing passenger had trashed one of the Rockstar Suite's bathrooms.

And it wasn't an easy fix, as they had ripped the toilet off the wall, along with five marble tiles which surrounded it.

The crew descended into chaos as they had less than an hour to fix the issue before a new guest was checking in.

Cabin host, Liz explained: "We have to replace the marble and it is our last Rockstar suite we have to take care of."

An on-board engineer added that: "It's not one tile, it is five tiles broken behind the toilet bowl.

"Usually we need a whole day, starting from the morning until the evening."

They revealed that it wasn't even possible to transfer the customer to another suite, as they were fully booked: "The cabin is always occupied so they cannot transfer the sailors to another cabin."

"This is the only chance we have, this is a big job for us."

At first, it didn't seem like the staff would be able to finish the job in time, as the toilet would no longer fit in the space.

However, the engineer managed to quickly turn things around and get the job done.

Cabin hosts Magic and Liz had to work together at lightning speed to clean the suite and ensure it was perfect before the arrival of the guests.

The Cruise airs on Sunday at 9pm on Channel 5 and also streams on My5.
