The View: Whoopi reveals why Alyssa Farah Griffin is missing
The View fans hit out at ABC producers after host Joy Behar made her TV return, despite her sickness getting “worse”.
Viewers slammed bosses for letting the presenter back in front of the camera so soon after falling ill.
After missing Tuesday’s episode entirely, Joy was back this morning for the popular panel programme.
Opening Wednesday’s show, Whoopi said: “It’s us!”.
As the show started, Joy could be heard off-camera, coughing to one side.
Despite Joy not feeling 100 per cent, Whoopi continued: “But, really excited because Joy’s back.”
As the crowd cheered, Joy began to tell viewers about her sudden sickness.
She asked: “I have a cold, that’s all. You can hear me, right?”

Telling fans she still wasn’t feeling great, Joy explained: “I sound worse than usual.”
Seeing the funny side, co-host Sara Haine chimed in, saying she sounds like the “1-900 voice”.
The audience and panel couldn’t stop laughing at Sara’s sassy quip, but some weren’t happy with the situation overall.
In now-deleted Tweets, some fans asked show bosses why Joy was allowed back so soon after her sickness, saying she should have had “more time to rest up”.
The View continues on weekdays on ABC in the USA.
