Anne-Marie has allegedly been axed from the judging panel on The Voice UK, following news of Olly Murs' 'shock' departure from the ITV show.
Anne-Marie, 32, joined the show back in 2021 alongside fellow judges Olly, will.i.am and Sir Tom Jones, but the ITV show now looks set to be given a shake up ready for the upcoming series in the new year.
A source told The Sun: "Anne-Marie has loved being part of the show but producers want to give the series a refresh.
"ITV wants to ensure that the show pulls in teens, so they are always looking at who is hot in the music world.’
Anne-Marie has not publicly addressed the reports regarding her alleged departure.
When approached by OK!, ITV did not deny Anne-Marie had been axed. A spokesperson said: "The Voice UK returns to ITV1 and ITVX for a brand new series on Saturday 4th November at 8:25 pm featuring coaches will.i.am, Sir Tom Jones, Anne-Marie and Olly Murs. Details of the 2024 series will be confirmed in due course."
The news comes after Olly revealed he'd been informed by TV bosses that he won't be appearing as a judge on the new series of The Voice, leaving him "gutted" and in "shock".
The former X Factor star told The Sun: “I’m gutted. I got the call last week to say I won’t be back on the show, and it’s a bit of a shock, to be honest. I didn’t really expect that to come.”
Olly continued: “But I don’t want to sit here like other artists might, and shine and gloss this up and say, ‘It was my decision’. I don’t want to do that. I don’t want to bulls**t my fans or bulls**t people who watch the show, and say, ‘Oh, it was an amicable decision to leave — I’ve got lots of things on next year, I can’t do it any more’.
“No. Genuinely, I accept their decision, and they’ll find someone great, I’m sure. But am I going to miss it? Yeah. Did I want to leave? No. Will I still watch the show? Of course, but it’ll be sore thinking that could have been me . . .”
Sir Tom and will.i.am have been judges on The Voice ever since the UK edition began airing in 2012. Olly joined the show in 2018.
Jessie J, Danny O'Donoghue, Rita Ora, Kylie Minogue, Ricky Wilson, Paloma Faith and Boy George have all previously been judges on the show.
