The Voice UK contestant Jazz Morley has revealed that Sir Tom Jones played a significant role in her becoming a mum.

The singer-songwriter, who wowed judges Olly Murs and Sir Tom with her rendition of Fleetwood Mac's Landslide on Saturday (December 2) night, shared her journey from college student to professional musician and how she met the father of her child while supporting Sir Tom at a gig.

Jazz said: "I live at home with my partner, Dan, and our little baby, Buddy, who is three months old. I'm changing more nappies in a day than I thought was possible. "Since leaving college I've pretty much made a living out of singing. In 2019 I was fortunate enough to support Tom Jones for a couple of nights in London. That's actually where I met my partner, Dan, who was playing piano for me."

She added: "Baby Buddy might not be here if it wasn't for Tom!" After performing for the judges, Jazz was delighted when both Sir Tom and Olly turned to pick her for their team. The judges wanted to know more about the hopeful and she explained that she had her past link with Tom and thanked him for her happy family life.

Jazz said: "I've come with my other half, Dan, and my baby, Buddy." She also mentioned that she had supported Tom on one of his tours previously. It's where I met my other half. So thank you." Seeming touched, Sir Tom remarked: "I'm glad it worked out, then." Explaining why he turned, Sir Tom praised Jazz and said: "You have a beautiful voice, I could not, not turn!"

She then confessed that he was the only judge she had hoped to impress and graciously accepted his offer to join his team. As the show came to an end, the judges referenced the fact that Tom had been responsible for bringing two people together.

Olly asked: "So Tom, you're responsible for making a baby. What were you doing to make them [click]?" Before he could answer, however, fellow judge Anne Marie quipped: "He was shaking his hips!" And this comment provoked a laugh from Sir Tom.

Fans were delighted by Jazz's performance and backed her to go far in the contest. One fan wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter,: "@JazzMorley just saw your performance on the voice and have to say it was amazing, gave me goosebumps."

Some viewers were quick to criticise the judges for their delayed reactions, with one fan commenting: "Think Jazz Morley deserved a much earlier turn than that. They seem to be leaving it very late in the songs for a lot of the singers, which must be quite stressful for them." Another viewer chimed in with: "#TheVoiceUK This last act Jazz Morley really liked this Song hope she goes far."
