Deputy leader of the Labour Party Angela Rayner was invited onto Wednesday’s instalment of This Morning where she accused former Prime Minister Liz Truss of “wrecking our economy” and putting the country in “difficult times”. As the interview got underway, viewers took to social media as they believed Phillip was out of his depth discussing the political climate.
A disgruntled Marjorie tweeted: “If [Holly and Phillip] were any more out of their depth interviewing politicians, they’d be raising the Titanic… #thismorning.”
@Shimlah007 penned: “#RishiSunak must be sick with worry seeing #LabourParty Angela Rayner on #ThisMorning. Out of depth the interviewee and interviewers. Stick to competitions maybe?”
