This Morning fans rush to complain about ITVs King Charles Coronation coverage

  • This Morning fans complained that there was too much talk about King Charles' Coronation on Tuesday's show (May 2).

Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield were back hosting the ITV show this week after both spent time away from the studio over the Easter break.

And Tuesday's programme was packed with royal chatter ahead of King Charles's Coronation at London's Westminster on Saturday May 6.

The show's line-up included an interview with royal photographer Chris Jackson, who is set to take photos of the royals up on the balcony at the Coronation.

It also included a cooking segment from TV chef Clodagh McKenna who told Holly and Phil how to make cheesy baked eggs, reported to be one of Charles' favourite dishes.

But it seems a lot of fans weren't too pleased with seeing so much Coronation coverage on their screens ahead of the historic event, who will be crowned alongside Camilla, The Queen Consort.

One fan fumed: "Jesus wept. How much time can they devote to the coronation. I am switching off for the rest of the week. Soul destroying listening to it."

Another agreed: "Oh ffs I forgot my week off collides with that bloody coronation. That's #ThisMorning ruined for the week."

A third wrote: "It will be Coronation overload all week on this Royalty obsessed show."

A fourth added: "Let's play a game tomorrow. We take a shot every time someone says the word coronation. That will get us through Wednesday."
