This Morning’s Dermot O’Leary says he’s ‘game’ for naked Stonehenge visit with Holly Willoughby

Dermot O'Leary told This Morning viewers he was “game” for a naked trip to Stonehenge with co-host Holly Willoughby.

The 50 year old presenter made the comment on Wednesday’s episode as he and his fellow presenter discussed the summer solstice – the longest day of the year which has historically been celebrated by many cultures with festivals and rituals. Many people flock to Stonehenge on Salisbury Plain in Wiltshire to mark the occasion – with some stripping off to dance in celebration.

"Happy summer solstice!" Holly, 42, said as she opened Wednesday’s show.

"Happy summer solstice to you… and you, and you, and you and you," Dermot added as he gestured towards the off-camera crew. "It's officially the longest day of the year.

"Many think it connects us with our ancestors and the land… I'm down with that. You are too yeah, Holly?"

Holly, who runs her own wellness brand Wylde Moon, replied by saying she wanted to go to Stonehenge to mark the summer solstice next year.

She said: "I've never been down to Stonehenge – I'd love to do it.”

Dermot then jokingly pressed his finger to his earpiece, as if he were being spoken to by a producer, and said: "We'll both be naked."

Laughing, Holly replied: "That's not what happens! I think that's optional." Dermot then said: "I'm game if you are.”

Also on Wednesday’s episode, Dermot told TOWIE star James ‘Arg’ Argent that he was “punching” with his new 18 year old girlfriend. James, 35, spoke about his music group The Arg Band, which specialises in event entertainment, before the conversation turned to his love life.

Holly began: “Your love life’s very fulfilled at the moment – you’ve got a new girlfriend.” Smiling, James replied: “Yes, I’ve got a new girlfriend.”

Dermot then cut in and said: “You are punching!” James laughed in response and said: “She looks like a young Sophia Loren or Monica Bellucci.”

And earlier this week, Gino D'Acampo made a joke about the Phillip Schofield saga – much to the discomfort of Holly and Dermot. Phillip, 62, left the programme last month and later admitted to an "unwise but not illegal" affair with a much younger male colleague.

And stepping back into the studio for the first time for a while, 46 year old Italian chef Gino said: "Everything is under control. I'm back!" He then asked if there was "any news from the last month" that he needed to know.

"No. No news," smiled Holly as she and Dermot both stifled laughs. Gino then asked: "Why is nobody talking anymore, what's happened?"

On Twitter, This Morning viewers jumped on the awkward interaction, as one tweeted: “Gino never disappoints, causing Dermot and Holly to squirm a bit making light of the Phil saga.”
