First Dates fans have a big demand as Merlin Griffiths finally returns to TV after cancer battle | The Sun

FIRST Dates fans have a big demand after Merlin Griffiths finally returned to TV following his cancer battle.

Earlier this month Merlin, 48, revealed a positive health update after being diagnosed with cancer two years ago.

Then on Saturday, the First Dates star appeared on James Martin's ITV morning show to showcase his mixology skills as he preparedsummer cocktails.

He named one of them Bob Marley, and another Pink Floyd, and his skills prompted many to demand he get his own show.

One wrote on Twitter: "Those cocktails looked fabulous! Merlin, you need your own cocktail chat show!"

Another added: " "Took the day off today and extremely happy I did what an amazing show @MerlinFDC4 you sir are a drinks magician."

Merlin was diagnosed with bowel cancer in 2021 and has documented his journey through treatment online with his followers.

Last week, Merlin shared a photo of his latest letter from the hospital after a recent scan.

It said: "Hi Merlin, Your CT scan has just come through. All looks good, there are no signs of any reoccurrence. Hope this is reassuring."
