This Morning presenter Rylan Clark has teased that he sometimes presented his BBC radio 2 programme completely naked during the 2020 lockdowns.

During Thursday’s (November 23) visit to the ITV daytime show, the former Big Brother star and his co-host Alison Hammond welcomed viewers back to the show for another fun-filled episode. Today, the pair discussed some of the biggest stories hitting the headline.

This included the return of Squid Game and the latest developments from inside the Australian jungle. But one of topics which got the hosts riled up was the debate over whether or not people should be wearing pyjamas when working from home.

It was at this point that the TV presenter confessed that during the Covid-19 lockdowns, he often presented his radio show in just his boxer shorts. He told viewers: “I remember during Covid, I was doing my radio show from my house because we weren’t allowed in the studio and I did BBC radio 2 in my underwear.

Alison couldn’t help but share her surprise, adding: “Stop it, but at least you put a top on” to which he insisted: “No, no one could see me it was just my voice. I’m sat there in my pants, I mean sometimes I might not have them on.”

The former X Factor star stepped back from his role on the radio show after his mum's illness took a turn for the worse back in September. At the time, his mum Linda suffered a bad fall that required major surgery.

Revealing the news on the social media account X – formerly known as Twitter – he thanked fans for their continued support online. He wrote: "So unfortunately I took my mum away on her first holiday in a good few years and sadly she's had quite a bad fall, resulting in her having to have a surgery out here.

"She's not in the best health with her other conditions and this has made it more complicated. My priority at the moment is my mum. Cheers Scott for covering me at Radio 2 and thanks to the people out here that have sent their well wishes."

He added: "Praying for a successful surgery and a quick recovery. Will update you on mummy Linda as and when I can x." Since then, his mum has made a brilliant recovery and the broadcaster has gone on to land a presenting gig on This Morning.

Rylan has been gracing our screens more frequently over the past few weeks after popular presenter Josie Gibson joined the star-studded cast of I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!

But it seems as though the TV star won't be flying down under any time soon. He recently told ITV bosses to "go away" when he was approached to appear on the show as the new series got underway.

After watching Tuesday's episode, Rylan took to X to share his thoughts on the series so far. He joked: "I just know on day I'll get drunk and say yes and hate every minute of it #ImACeleb."

ITV taunted him and replied with a paper and pencil emoji, adding: "Sign here" to which the hunk immediately shot back: "GO AWAY."
