Tim's fate sealed as killer Stephen makes a discovery in Corrie

Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) will soon face Stephen Reid’s (Todd Boyce) murderous side in Coronation Street after the evil businessman made a huge discovery in Wednesday’s (October 4) episode.

A few weeks ago, after the police found Leo’s dead body, Stephen made his way to the canal to check if Teddy’s body was still hidden there. As he poked about in the water, he failed to spot Tim, who was hiding behind a bush.

When his phone started ringing, Tim cut the call and Stephen dashed away – and that moment has been playing on his mind ever since.

After asking a few Underworld employees about their ringtones, Stephen’s focus shifted tonight as Carla (Alison King) confronted him about her recent LSD test.

The test confirmed that Carla has LSD in her system and after doing a bit of digging, she was able to work out Stephen must’ve been responsible.

Unable to do anything herself, Carla made her way over to the police station and spoke to DS Swain (Vicky Myers).

Sadly, Swain revealed that because Carla doesn’t have physical proof, they can’t investigate Stephen committing the crime.

After finding Stephen outside the station, Carla returned home and was paid a visit by Swain.

As Swain told Carla to keep quiet about everything she knows, neither picked up on Stephen at the kebab shop, overhearing their conversation.

Heading back to see Jenny (Sally Ann Matthews), Stephen passed Tim and a returning Elaine (Paula Wilcox). They ignored each other but when Tim’s phone rang, the penny dropped for Stephen.

Realising Tim was at the canal after all, Stephen’s panic set in.

With Super Soap Week just days away, a desperate Stephen will confront Tim during a showdown, which will result in him locking the taxi driver in the boot of his cab and dousing it with petrol.

But will Tim become victim number four?
