Tipping Point magnet fan theory resurfaces as ITV show faces fixed claims

A well-known Tipping Point fan theory has resurfaced online, with the ITV show facing fresh 'fixed' claims.

During Tuesday's episode (August 16), a Tipping Point fan on Twitter reposted a viral TikTok video in relation to the programme.

The short clip depicts a counter being dragged sideways across the Tipping Point machine alongside the caption: "Haha, what's going on here?"

Originally shared by TikTok user @liamlavery7, the unusual movement of the counter left fans claiming that it had been purposefully 'moved by a magnet'.

The magnet conspiracy theory is popular amongst online Tipping Point fans.

It has also previously been addressed by show host Ben Shephard.

Following the latest episode, Tipping Point fans on Twitter once again shared their suspicions that the programme's counters were being manipulated by an unseen force.

Reacting to the video, one fan wrote: "Here we go, the magnet man."

Another commented: "That's moved by magnet."

Meanwhile, a third fan said: "Said from the start it's magnetised."

A fourth viewer added: "I'm sure it has a magnet underneath and don’t want people to win."

"Always said it’s magnets underneath," another fan concluded.

During an episode of Tipping Point: Lucky Stars last month, the magnet theory was also broached by Emmerdale star Lucy Pargeter.

Following a bad counter fall, the actress joked: "[There was] someone with a magnet behind there flipping it that way."

Appearing to acknowledge his awareness of the magnet theory, show host Ben replied: "Don't talk about the magnet.

"Conspiracy theorists love a magnet."

Monday's show saw the 47-year-old presenter left speechless by a player's huge fast food error.

Tipping Point airs from 4pm on weekdays on ITV
