During Wednesday’s instalment of BBC Breakfast, host Sally spoke to Kit regarding the thousands of victims that have been impacted by infected blood. Although many will get an interim compensation of £100,000 each, many bereaved parents will miss out.
The Cabinet Minister told the BBC host that he’s read some of the testimonies from people that have been affected by the scandal as he called the situation “heartbreaking”.
Although he admitted that people have the government’s deepest sympathy, Sally pushed for more.
She said: “One of the things I know they (those impacted) have been asking for is a formal apology.
“When will that come?”
