CORONATION Street newcomer Robert Shaw Cameron plays a hunky dentist on the ITV soap – but where have we seen him before?

First seen as one of the mourners at Mr Pugh's funeral, Laurence Reeves will be a new love interest for Sean Tully (Antony Cotton).

Fans are already loving the handsome new character and can't wait to see the budding romance unfold.

One said: "Oh please god, you deserve this Sean."

Another wrote: "You make a gorgeous couple."

A third penned: "Yes, at last. Sean deserves some happiness."

Robert actually appeared in Corrie back in 2011 police officer Douglas.

He was also in BBC medical drama Holby City, playing Dominic Wooten in 2002 and Heartbeat playing Joe Stanwyck.

Robert appeared in a soap spin-off with EastEnders' Ricky and Bianca in 2002.

Before that he was in The Bill, The Wild Life, Where the Heart Is, The Basil Brush Show and was the voice of the Quizmaster for ITV's 24 Hour Quiz.

So Glenda Shuttleworth (Jodie Prenger) came up with a plan where Sean should pretend to be a patient at Laurence's dental surgery and she made an appointment for him.

After Sean's string of failed relationships, will his luck finally change with Laurence?

Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday on ITV at 8pm.
