Strictly winner Rose Ayling-Ellis trains EastEnders co-star James Bye in video

Rose Ayling-Ellis has been sharing her Strictly Come Dancing tips with her EastEnders co-star James Bye.

Rose, who won last year’s competition alongside professional partner Giovanni Pernice, reunited with her EastEnders family last night for the National Television Awards.

The actress was nominated in the Best Serial Drama Performance category, but lost out on the award to Emmerdale’s Mark Charnock, who has been in the middle of a powerful storyline that’s seen Marlon Dingle recover after a stroke.

Behind the scenes, Rose enjoyed dancing with James Bye, who plays Martin Fowler and is performing alongside Amy Dowden in the BBC One competition.

Posting a video on his Instagram, James and Rose can be seen practicing a move from the Quickstep – the dance James and Amy will perform during tomorrow night’s show.

‘Even at the NTAs you find time to train!’, James wrote alongside the video.

Let’s hope training with last year’s champ is enough to save James from the bottom two this week!

Away from Strictly, Rose left her role as Frankie Lewis in EastEnders back in September.

‘It’s been incredibly special to be EastEnders’ first regular deaf actor,’ Rose said last month when news of her exit was broken exclusively by Metro.co.uk.

‘I have loved my time on the show and Frankie has been such an awesome character to play, however now feels like the right time for me to move on and I am excited and ready for new challenges.’
