We risked our relationship and ploughed our entire pension into hotel from hell reveals Colin and Justin | The Sun

COLIN McAllister and Justin Ryan have revealed how they ploughed all of their pension and risked their relationship to buy a hellish hotel.

The popular TV design duo embark on their biggest project to date in new series, Colin and Justin's Hotel Hell.

The Channel 5 series follows the couple as they buy and transform a run-down hotel in rural Nova Scotia on the Atlantic Coast of Canada and attempt to turn it into a luxury high end boutique hotel.

With the aim of opening in early summer 2022, the documentary series tracks their ambitious undertaking as they buy and transform a 22-room, old fashioned and tired hotel which includes a restaurant and beach house.

Speaking about what was at stake by taking on such a project, the couple said: "It started in the early part of the pandemic when we felt locked out from our regular lives in Glasgow, London and Toronto.

"When we stumbled across an exciting a hotel for sale in Nova Scotia, in need of major updating but with so much potential, we emptied our bank account and ploughed our pension into the purchase.
