Disney’s new series Wedding Season stars George Webster as Hugo Delaney who has his big day ruined by an unwanted interruption. Speaking ahead of the rom-com meets thriller series, the actor spoke about his own nightmare wedding disaster.
Wedding Season follows a group of friends who crash weddings, until it all goes very wrong.
Katie (played by Rosa Salazar) and Stefan fall for one another at a wedding and begin an affair – but the former has a fiancé.
A matter of months later and Katie’s new husband Hugo and his family are murdered.
It’s not long before the police point the finger at Stefan, who thinks Katie is responsible.

Recalling his own disaster at a wedding, Hugo star George admitted to falling into a grave on his uncle’s big day.
The young actor also smashed the memorial during his landing, causing mass shame at the time.
George recalled to Express.co.uk: “I tried to hop over a wall in this church, stacked it, fell over and fell on a grave.
“I actually chipped the headstone of a grave with a tripod. Who do you say sorry to there – the grave?
“So it was a bad wedding moment, yes. And everyone saw it as well. But yeah, other than that, I think most weddings have been pretty fine.”
The star who also appeared in period drama Versailles added: “I had mud all over my trousers and people asked, ‘What have you been up to?'”
Also starring in Wedding season is Game of Thrones star Jamie Michie, who plays hard-nosed detective with a soft heart, DI Donahue.
Gavin Drea features as Stefan, the hapless main character who goes on the run with Hugo’s wife Katie.
Omar Baroud plays Jackson in Wedding Season, the mischievous member of the group of friends who attend various weddings, while the drama with Stefan and runaway Katie unfolds.
The show is the first on Disney to be based in the UK and boasts an array of British and Irish acting talent.
Showrunner Oliver Lyttleton revealed he had the idea after his own love of attending weddings.
He remarked: “I’ve always been drawn to weddings. I just love them and that’s one of the main reasons I wanted to write the show.
“Every wedding in life is part of a story and we wanted to make sure that each one of our weddings told a little story in itself.
“It was a nice chance to get to, not just reflect our main characters and the group of friends, but also to introduce some new characters and see their plights, worries and catastrophes.”
Wedding Season premieres on Disney+ Day on Thursday 8th September.
