PAUL Walker died in 2013, leaving his friends, family and fans devastated.
Ten years later, the Fast and Furious actor will receive a star on Hollywood Boulevard.
When did Paul Walker die?
Paul Walker died in a car crash on November 30, 2013.
He and his friend, Roger Rodas, 38, were returning from an event for Walker's charity, Reach Out Worldwide, for victims of Typhoon Haiyan.
Rodas was driving his Porsche Carrera GT when he crashed into a concrete lamp post and a tree at high speed before the car caught fire, killing them both.
An investigation into the accident concluded the vehicle was travelling at 94mph in a 45mph zone.
A judge dismissed claims that Porsche was responsible for the deaths in 2016.
The judge stated that Rodas' fatal injuries occurred when he and Paul collided during the crash, which a crash cage wouldn’t have prevented.
Judge Gutierrez added that “undisputed evidence” showed Rodas died from fire caused by racing fuel.
What was Paul Walker's cause of death?
Paul was just 40 when he died.
The Porsche he was travelling in crashed into a concrete lamp post and tree at high speed before catching fire, killing him and his friend Roger Rodas, who was driving.
The actor passed away from the combined effects of trauma and burns, leaving his family and film co-stars bereft.
A post-mortem revealed he had no drugs or alcohol in his system when he died.
He had broken bones throughout his body, including his jaw, arm, ribs and pelvis.
What was said about his death?
In a heartbreaking 2018 documentary, I Am Paul Walker, his mother, Cheryl, spoke out on the loss of her son.
During an exclusive interview with People, Cheryl revealed on the day of his death, Paul had brought his daughter, Meadow, to visit, and the trio was discussing plans to buy a Christmas tree that evening.
She explained: "We were having this good conversation, and he'd forgotten about an event he had… He got a text and said, 'Oh my gosh, I'm supposed to be somewhere!'"
Meadow was just 15 when her father was killed.
A long custody battle between her mother, Rebecca Soteros, and Cheryl ensued in 2014.
Eventually, Cheryl dropped her case when Soteros agreed to undertake a rehabilitation program for her reported alcoholism.
On September 12, 2021, which would've been Paul's 48th birthday, Meadow posted a throwback Instagram photo of herself and her father.
She captioned it: "Happy birthday daddy, I love you."
