JAMES Nesbitt is unleashing his brand new Channel 4 crime drama, Suspect.

The series focuses on veteran detective who uncovers a suspicious death, where all is not what it seems.

When does Suspect start on Channel 4?

Suspect is an eight-part series from Eagle Eye Drama.

This crime drama is an adaptation of the original Danish series Forhøret by Christoffer Boe and Miso Film.

Suspect starts at 9pm on Sunday (June 19, 2022) on Channel 4.

You’ll also be able to watch the entire series online on All 4.

Who is in the cast?

Suspect's cast features James Nesbitt as Danny, Joely Richardson as pathologist Jackie and Anne-Marie Duff as Danny’s ex-wife Susannah.

They are joined by Richard E. Grant and Ben Miller.

What is Suspect about?

Suspect follows veteran detective, Danny Frater, who turns up at a hospital mortuary for what he thinks is a routine ID check on a young woman’s body.

However, he gets a devastating shock when the corpse turns out to be his estranged daughter, Christina.

Danny is traumatised by the news that according to the post-mortem report, she’s taken her own life.
