Alan Davies, who brought the enigmatic Jonathan Creek to life, has continued to make his mark in the entertainment industry.
Since leaving the show, Alan landed a permanent slot as a panellist on BBC Two's comedy panel game quiz show QI.
The actor has also become a well known comedian – appearing in sitcoms such as, Whites and Damned as well as comedian-centre talk show Alan Davies: As Yet Untitled on Dave.
Alongside his successful stand-up comedy career, Davies has taken on a variety of acting roles on both the small and big screens.

Polly Creek – Sarah Alexander
Polly who played Jonathan's wife, never liked him solving crimes, but she knew he couldn't ignore his investigative instincts.
Sarah, like her on-screen husband, also ventured into the world of comedy.
She secured roles in popular sketch shows like Armstrong and Miller and Smack the Pony.
The English actress also scored a major role in the movie Stardust, portraying Empusa, the youngest of the three Lillim sister witches.
Reverend Wendell Wilkie – Warwick Davis
Reverend Wendell Wilkie, played a vicar who joined forces with Jonathan Creek (Alan Davies) to solve a mystery at a "haunted" house.
Warwick Davis has had some major breakthroughs since leaving the BBC series.
He's starred in well-known films.
His big break came when he starred as Wicket the Ewok in Star Wars: The Return of the Jedi.
However, he is most recognised for his roles as Professor Flitwick and Griphook in the Harry Potter films.
He also starred in Ricky Gervais's sitcom Life’s Too Short.
Nathan Clore – Ken Bones
Ken, a veteran film director, created a chilling legacy with his 1970s horror movies, which were described as "terrifying" in the plot synopsis.
Doctor Who fans will probably remember him, as he played The General in The Day of the Doctor.
Ken has also has some acting roles in ITV drama, Des and Father Brown.
As well as this he has starred in films such as Exodus: God and Kings and Walking with the Enemy.
Alison – Georgie Lord
Alison, who was Nathan Clore's stepdaughter, and made her TV debut in Jonathan Creek.
However, she had already established herself as a talented stage actress.
She has starred in the theatre show Boy at the Almeida Theatre in London.
Stephen – Emun Elliot
The actor portrayed Stephen Belkin in the Christmas special episode.
Stephen had crossed paths with Jonathan when he was accused of murdering his first wife, Imel.
After leaving the series, Emun has achieved great success.
