Ever since Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) received the news that Janine Butcher (Charlie Brooks) was planning to sell Mick’s (Danny Dyer) half of the Queen Vic in EastEnders, she has been desperately looking for a buyer.
However, it seems she may be after a very particular person, after making a mysterious phone call in tonight’s episode.
There is currently a war brewing between Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) and The Panesars over the ownership of the Vic, leaving Linda stuck in the middle.
As much as sharing the pub with her best friend sounds like a good idea on paper, Linda confessed to Patrick Trueman (Rudolph Walker) that she was concerned that they may have conflicting ideas over how to run the place.
Also, she is still unsure about whether or not she can trust Nish (Navin Chowdhry) to stay a silent partner, as he has promised.
Patrick pointed out that she appeared to be stuck between a rock and a hard place, and suggested that she look for another option.
‘Somebody who has the Panesars’ business acumen but is not going to mess with the way you do things,’ he recommended. ‘Somebody you can trust.’
Patrick’s pep talk seemed to inspire Linda, who later made a phone call to a mystery person, promising that she would ditch both of the offers she already had to go with them.

But just who was she talking to?
Executive producer Chris Clenshaw has revealed that the mystery buyer will be someone unexpected, as he teased what is to come for Linda.
‘Linda’s world has been thrown upside down by seeing a photo of Shirley with Dean, but she’s forced to focus on who her new business partner will be or face losing her home.
‘Both Sharon and Nish are hoping to get the keys to the castle, but her knight in shining armour may not be who you think.’
It has been revealed in a spectacular flash-forward episode that Linda is a member of ‘The Six’, a group of Walford women who will be involved in a murder on Christmas Day 2023.
Could this new buyer have something to do with that story? Could they even be the person who ends up dead?
